It also includes an analysis of antitrust exceptions in sports leagues in the United States and the history of Brazilian soccer in the formation of a league and the sale of broadcasting rights.

Part 2, Sports and Mergers, discusses the notification of mergers of STCs in Brazil, the acquisition of fut debentures, judicial reorganization and its possible competitive consequences, the prohibition of interlocking directorate in the STC Law. It also addresses the cross-participation of controlling shareholders of SAFs and the competitive implications of acquisitions in the sports industry.

Part 3 moves on to address Sports and Unilateral Conduct, analyzing hypotheses such as exclusivity in the transmission of games, the sale of tickets for sports tournaments, the private standardization of products in the sports industry, and the risks to competition and innovation. It also examines the governance structure of the sports industry and sports federations and associations.

Finally, Part 4 addresses Sports and Coordinated Conduct and investigates remuneration-fixing arrangements in the sports sector, no-poach investigations abroad, match-fixing, and non-compete clauses in athletes’ employment contracts.
