A Tecnologia na Saúde: Serviço Nacional de Saúde
Por Jose Cerqueira The National Health Service is increasingly significant importance for the Portuguese population in general, without which it would not have access to basic health services with the current economic context and without predictions of many improvements are those that must this service in conjunction with the social security health services rendered, however, there is the economic impossibility of continuing this service as it stands because is economically unviable. Many reforms have already been made in this service in different governments, but still could not get the desired results, despite the service having to be reformulated, studied and perfected, one can not leave out the underlying principles thereof. The quality of life passes through the health of people and people are the main engine of an economy, such as the productivity of a country is intrinsically linked to the quality of health services provided to the population, this population than in the case of Portuguese and many other countries in this increasingly aging which implies that more and more young workers are paying more for the sustenance of the country’s elderly, as normal and inevitable, the older strike are greater health problems and care needy. The twentieth century was marked by the evolution of computing and the twenty-first century we are dependent on it to perform almost all daily tasks, the health sector is no exception and we see, in the case of Portugal, an increasing computerization of services and patient data, there are cases where you do not need a trip to the local health center for a screening, even screening that is done via phone or video call and a gradual acceptance of patients by this method are expected major changes in the healthcare industry both at the level of care from the patients themselves as to the level of management throughout the NHS (National Health Service).
Business is already banking on a more personalized monitoring, more effective in my opinion, where the patient with a simple click get professional advice for your situation, thereby eliminating a trip to the health center and a little decongesting the huge turnout for services public health.
With this project I intend to show computer services already used by the NHS and private and how they could be improved, display technologies in incubation and how they could revolutionize the whole concept of providing health services, show cases which are implemented new technologies effectively and how they could be better used to compare the evolution of medicine in poor countries and major world powers, see how far health reaches all Portuguese citizens as advocated by the Constitution of the Portuguese Republic.
