The Echo of Time

Por Milene Ferreira

Sobre o livro

Luca Almeida is a young Brazilian archaeologist who, while studying ancient artifacts in a museum in São Paulo, makes a discovery that defies the laws of physics and history. During an expedition to a remote cave in the interior of the country, he finds a mysterious device that seems to have been left by an unknown civilization. Upon activating it, Luca finds himself transported to the past, to critical points in world history.

A journey of temporal exploration then begins, where Luca has the chance to witness and even interact with great historical moments. However, upon witnessing the tragedy of the sinking of the Titanic and other devastating events, he finds himself tempted to intervene to change the course of history, preventing these catastrophes from happening and thus saving lives.

However, each time travel brings with it unexpected consequences. When Luca tries to prevent the sinking of the Titanic, for example, he ends up creating a new timeline, where other, equally devastating catastrophes begin to emerge.

In his quest to correct past mistakes, he finds himself faced with a moral dilemma: to what extent can and should he alter the course of history? Should he save the people of the past, or let events take their natural course, even if it means that inevitable tragedies occur?
