Sapo Cururu (Cururu Frog) is a popular Brazilian nursery rhyme that has just turned into a beautiful children’s book. Known as the poet of the river, Cururu is a frog that sings to scare away the cold while he spies on the female frogs hopping around him. He is looking for a bride, but when he finally finds his beloved, she does not trust him… Will the frog succeed in winning her heart?

Sapo Cururu is part of a series called História & Cantiga, which is dedicated to introducing a new generation to nursery rhymes that were part of most Brazilian parents’ childhood. It is a fun way to bring some Brazilian culture to children learning Portuguese as a heritage or second language.
