After being deceived by his former partner, Alex struggles to keep the only means to support his family: a job inspecting the highway. The problem is that this exhausting routine makes him do terrible deductions with every incident. What he doesn’t know is that something is going to change his routine. Set in a highway, from the perspective of the professionals that work on the road, helping with different kinds of incidents, STOP! will surprise you with the occasionally cruel reality of road accidents and the dramas of life!

Not many people are aware, but Elias Martins (the Author) went through three very traumatic experiences on the road. In 2008, his dad had an accident while driving a motorcycle and he spent ten days in the hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and passed away. Two years later, Elias’ wife was injured when a drunk driver crushed her against the car door while she was getting in – fortunately, she survived. His brother also went through an awful car crash.
After having gone through such terrible experiences, the artist decided to create a comic book about the dangers of speeding and being irresponsible while driving. That is how Stop! came to be, after winning that years’ ProAC (São Paulo’s government program to stimulate authors).
