Dragons Lie Too (David and Letícia · Livro 1)

Running from an army was the easy part.

David has one rule: survive first. Be a hero only if there is no other choice.

After an ambush in the Crimson Mountains, the battle mage deserts the imperial army—and finds himself dragging an eleven-year-old dragonkin girl into trouble. Letícia has too many questions, no intention of obeying him, and a talent for finding things best left buried.

Their journey leads to impossible ruins, ancient dragons, and memories the world has lost. Across nine clans, David discovers that escaping the army was the easy part. The harder part is protecting the people who have begun to trust him.

He never wanted a mission. He certainly never expected a family. To keep them, he may have to do the one thing he has always avoided: stop running.

Dragons Lie Too begins the David and Letícia series: an epic fantasy adventure of ancient secrets, dry humor, and an unlikely found family.
