Sobre o livro
“Jumping Froggy Frog” was inspired by the practice of using trampolines for children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), as well as sensory adaptations with elastic bands on school desks to allow for foot movement in the classroom.
These are pedagogical strategies used to address the barrier related to hyperactivity in these students.
The book also demonstrates that the inclusion process requires, in addition to judicious and appropriate adaptations for each child’s case, the involvement of the entire school community, especially other students.
The inclusion of students with disabilities as well as the preparation of the surrounding environment to welcome them strengthens the principle of equality among students and in the school community as a whole, fostering an essential exchange that contributes to the construction of a more inclusive and egalitarian society.
Ultimately, inclusion is a collective commitment, and small adaptations can generate great changes, allowing each child to develop self-esteem, discover their abilities, and move forward confidently on their school and life journey, contributing to more humane, welcoming environments prepared to value the diversity present in every classroom.
