Resumo:

‘Bloom’; Sean Walsh’s filmic adaptation of James Joyce’s ‘Ulysses’; brings to screen Leopold Bloom’s; Stephen Dedalus’; and Molly Bloom’s representation of thought. Relying on Robert Humphrey’s theory of stream of consciousness in literature and Haim Callev’s theory of stream of consciousness on screen; the present research aims at analyzing the tools used by the filmmaker to make feasible such representations. Moreover; Gérard Gennete’s contemporaneous theory of transtextuality is used to identify and bring to light the differences and intersections between the mentioned novel and film
